Ron remained in this capacity for nearly a decade. In 1963, by special arrangement with the Los Angeles Athletic Club, the L.A. Rams football club came to L.A.A.C. to begin strength training. Their strength coach was Ron Fischer. While working for this organization, Ron also wrote a number of celebrity articles for the club's monthly publication. After leaving the athletic organization, Ron became a duly licensed investigator in the State of California. While working for himself as an investigator, he also managed to work in about two dozen films, mostly as a stuntman and several times as an actor. During the same period Ron studied diligently and became a certified nutritionist. And great many years of his life were spent as a competitive athlete, his favorite sport being Olympic style weightlifting. As a Master lifter, Ron won the World's Master Championship three times. He retired from investigative work in the late eighties, and since then has devoted his time to researching and writing western history.
Today he resides in Tombstone, Arizona.
